Racing vehicle engine oil cooler
Lang, Filip ; Guzej, Michal (referee) ; Bartuli, Erik (advisor)
This disertation is about designing an oil cooler for racing car made of polymer hollow fibers. The oil cooler was made on an X-Winder device, which is not originally designed for production of heat exchangers, which was quite complicated to produce these exchangers. Therefore, programs initiating the movement of the winding device based on the parameters entered by the user were created within the work. The manufactured cooler was compared with used oil cooler from the race car in pursuance of measured parameters in the experimental chamber.
Formula Student Engine Oil System Function Analysis
Liška, David ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the used lubrication system on the eighth generation of Dragon 8 car from team TU Brno Racing. In the beginning of the thesis there is clarifying the Formula Student competition, in which the student team participates, explains its rules and limitations affecting the combustion engine lubrication system. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the possibilities of oil cooling systems and the search of the used components in lubrication system. For the lubrication system is calculated the theoretical volumetric flow rate by an oil pump and then it is verified by measuring the actual flow rate required to determine the cooling capacity of the oil cooler.
Hydraulic power unit for the regulation steam turbine
Morávek, Aleš ; Kolesa, Karel (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of high-pressure hydraulic unit to drive a regulation of condensation turbine. The aim is to calculate all the elements of the hydraulic system, piping design and the necessary drawings. The entire assembly consists of purchased parts from other manufacturers. Major oil tank and a safety catch tank is described in detail and will be made, not bought.
VUT100 aircraft engine oil cooling installation optimization
Mackovík, Matěj ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The mein objective of this diploma thesis is to optimize the oil cooler of the VUT 100 aircraft, so that it complies with the CS-23 regulation and requirements of the engine producer. This is fulfilled by using of suitable oil cooler and by optimization of the air duct. Computational Fluid Dynamics approach – namely Ansys Fluent software package is used for it.
